And now a Majora's Mask picture with a reference to Over The Garden Wall! The story of the woodsman and his daughter along with the Edelwood Trees reminded me a lot of the story of the Deku Butler and his son who died and became that souless tree that Link and Tatl saw at the beginning of their journey after Majora took his soul and planted it as a curse upon Link.

So I just sort of took that concept and turned it into a sort of "alternate" take with the Deku trees all being lost souls who eventually gave up and let the roots and trunks consume them all until the trees were the only thing left of them. And yeah, here's what's happening to Link. I imagine that that's what happens to the Deku Scrubs when they die in this alternate take. I'm sorry, I probably sound really confusing and nonsensical, but I just couldn't help myself...I had to draw a picture based around that concept from OTGW. The story just reminded me so much of it.

Plus the fact that the Skull children in the game were all once living souls who got lost in the forest. I'm sorry I'll shut up now, I just thought it was cool and that the connections/similarities would be neat too...XD;; But yeah, this concept is just an AU sort of thing, or "Universe Alter" if you will.
